Harvesting Water from the Sky
TAGUT

The World’s Largest Fog Collection System by Fondation Dar Si Hmad

Atlantic fog rolls over Mount Boutmezguida. CloudFisher mesh nets capture micro-droplets at 1,225m altitude. Water flows through 6km of pipes to 16 villages. Over 1,000 people now have clean water at home.

Maximum Purity

Fog water is naturally clean — no chemicals, no brine, no desalination waste, no environmental harm whatsoever

CloudFisher Technology

Engineered mesh nets designed by Peter Trautwein (Aqualonis/Wasserstiftung) capture fog with precision.

16 Villages Connected

6 kilometres of pipes carry fog-harvested water from the mountain summit directly to community taps.

Zero Pollution

We do not pollute with brine. We do not dig boreholes. We do not disrupt the natural water cycle.

The TAGUT Story

Your Trusted Partner for Fog Water Innovation

In the Anti-Atlas Mountains, women walked 3.5 hours daily for water. Fog is abundant but rain scarce: under 80mm annually.
Commitment to Communities

Since 2011, Fondation Dar Si Hmad has operated CloudFisher fog collection nets, delivering clean water to 16 villages and transforming health, education, and daily life for over 1,000 people.

Expertly Harvesting Water from Atlantic Fog
Our Values as Water Stewards

Commitment to Purity, Community, and Sustainability

Every water drop is a treasure in itself — and one that sustains biodiversity and life across the Anti-Atlas.

Our Vision

Expand fog water harvesting across the Anti-Atlas Mountains, delivering clean water to every community in need — starting with the Tabbetist expansion

Our Mission

Harvest water from fog without pollution, without drilling, and without disrupting nature. Serve communities with dignity while advancing R&D in fog science.

From Fog to Tap — How TAGUT Delivers Water

Atlantic fog rolls over the summit. Mesh nets trap micro-droplets. Water collects in troughs, flows into reservoirs, and travels 6km through pipes to 16 villages.

How TAGUT Works

Fog Water Delivery — Step by Ste

From mountain summit to village tap, TAGUT’s system transforms invisible fog into clean drinking water.

The TAGUT System

Every Component of the Fog Water Network

Atlantic fog intercepted by CloudFisher mesh nets at 1,225m altitude.

Each net produces ~600 litres per day into summit collection troughs.

Multiple reservoirs store water on the mountain before distribution.

~6 kilometres of pipes carry water from summit to 16 village taps.

127 households and 1,000+ beneficiaries with clean fog water at home.

Milestones & Expansion

The TAGUT Journey — From First Experiment to Second Mountain

First Fog Experiments (2000)
Initial fog collection research on the summit of Boutmezguida. Standard Fog Collectors (SFC) installed by 2006.
CloudFisher Installation (2011–2014)
Full CloudFisher system installed connecting 16 villages through 6km of pipes. Over 1,000 beneficiaries reached.
Tabbetist Road Completed (June 2025)
Critical dirt road connecting Timetda to Mount Tabbetist completed, enabling CloudFisher installation for 16 new villages.
Tabbetist Expansion (Underway)
Second fog collection site under development. When complete, Tabbetist will double TAGUT’s reach to 32 villages total.
